1. Environmental Scientist/Specialist: (Full-Time)
Location: Kaw City, OK
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or related field with a three (3) years or more experience in data gathering and interpretation for air, water, biological material and sedimentary samples. Candidate should have working knowledge of Geology (Topography, Hydrogeology, Watershed Analysis, and Soil Science), Mapping Coordinate Systems, Global Positioning Systems, Global Information Systems, Aerial Photographic Interpretation, and Water Quality. Must be able to produce written reports and have computer skills in a Windows environment. Position will require some outdoor work such as digging, lifting, mowing, and managing controlled burns.

2. Water Technician: (Temporary Full-time)
Location: Kaw City, OK
Minimum of two (2) years of college, trade school, or Vo-Tech training in Environmental or General Sciences with a minimum of two (2) years or more experience in water, biological and sediment sampling and analysis. Position will require some outdoor work such as digging, lifting, mowing, and managing controlled burns. Requires a valid driver license and be insurable under Tribal regulations.

This position is for an indefinite period of time as a replacement for an individual who is going on military leave. Upon the previous employees return this person’s employment with the Kaw Nation will likely end.

3. Human Resource Director: (Full Time)
Location: Kaw City, OK
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field, however, five (5) years Human Resource Management or related experience may be substituted for educational requirements. Candidates must also possess proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills along with computer skills for a Microsoft environment and ability to handle HRIS programs. Successful candidate will possess knowledge of employment and labor laws. Prefer experience in developing and implementing personnel policies and experience with tribal organizations.

Position is responsible for maintenance and operation of personnel department and records, preparation and reporting of labor and employment data, hiring, training, planning, creating, and implementing human resource programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations and training.

4. Administrative Assistant for Kaw Nation Environmental Program: (Full-time)

Location: Kaw City, OK
Must be at least 18 years of age, and preferably with two (2) years of college, trade school or vocational training. Needs office related and/or administrative experience including clerical and computer skills in a Windows environment with the ability to set priorities, organize, coordinate work efficiently, and to establish good personal relations with other workers. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of clerical and support services for a number of federally funded programs.

5. Tribal Police Officer: Full-time

Location: Newkirk, OK
Responsibilities include patrolling Kaw Nation land to prevent crime and to enforce regulations. Applicants with 2 or more years of police officer experience and with CLEET Law Enforcement Certification and/or BIA Certification will be considered for this opening.

6. Patients Benefits Coordinator: Full-time

Location: Newkirk, OK
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree is preferred or a minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical environment and related field. Ability to relate and interact with patients assisting them in programs that are available to Native Americans. Possess interpersonal skills in reading, writing and speaking which would include good communication skills. Must be able to multi task and work with minimum supervision. Prefer candidate to have some third party billing experience and knowledge of RPMS (Resource Patient Management System). Must have proficient computer skills.
