Kanza Child Care Center is a community based center, open to all
children in the Newkirk area. Subsidized care is available to all Native
Americans who live in Kay County. To apply for child care assistance, call
the center at 580-362-4114. Assistance is available for parents who are
working or in school or training.
Enrollment is open to children from 6 weeks to 13 years of age. The center
is open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. - Monday through Friday.
The center also offers an After-School Program. Children are transported
from the Newkirk Public School each day using our center's van.
Summer day camp is also available for school age children. Swimming, field
trips, and special events are planned each week.
Kanza Child Care Center is located one mile east of downtown Newkirk, at 101
Charles Curtis Lane, Newkirk, Oklahoma.
Licensed providers or relatives of children are paid directly with funds
from the CCDF block grant from Kaw Nation. |
