Two Levels of Lessons
We have two levels of lessons available, Beginning and Advanced. Each lesson is a .pdf conversion of a navigable slide show style presentation. The beginning lessons are short and resemble stillframe cartoons. Clickable pronunciations are included. The advanced lessons are much longer (20-65 slides), and geared a little more toward adults. Pronunciations on the adult lessons have been removed to make room for the upcoming Wajíphanyin CD-ROM lessons. The format of the online lessons is fairly self-explanatory, but here are a few recommendations:
- You will need a copy of the MOST RECENT VERSION of Adobe® Reader® to view the lessons and enjoy the multimedia components. If you don't have a copy, click here to download it for free.
- Despite conversion to PDF, the lessons are still quite large (up to 1MB) and will probably take a moment to load fully. Please allow time for this, as errors can arise from improperly loaded lessons.
- Use the side scroll bar to move from page to page. Moving forward and backward through the lesson is possible with Acrobat Reader®. It might be wise to take advantabe of this feature to make sure you understand all topics.
- Take advantage of the multimedia buttons. Small speaker horn icons indicate sounds that can be played as needed.
- Again, these are not the original versions of these lessons, but only PDF conversions. If you would like disc copies of the original PowerPoint versions, please contact us.

Advanced Lessons
Although it might help, one need not have completed the beginning lessons before viewing the advanced ones. However, because these lessons involve a great deal of reading and little to no animation, they are probably not best suited for children. Furthermore, these lessons expand on one another, so it's best to master Lesson 1 before moving on to Lesson 2 and so on. NOTE: Advanced lessons are used in conjunction with the Kanza Electronic Classroom online course. Remember, the pronunciations on these lessons have been disabled.
