The Kaw Nation Education & Social Services Department provides the following services to eligible Kaw tribal members and Native Americans:

• Kaw Nation Higher Education Grant Program-Assistance to Kaw tribal members who wish to complete a college degree program. The student must complete the FAFSA application and show a financial need. Deadlines are June 1 for the fall semester. November 1 for the spring semester.

• Kaw Nation Academic Scholarship Program-Assistance to Kaw tribal members who wish to complete a college degree program. Although the student does not have to show a financial need, the student must be able to carry a minimum of twelve credit hours and maintain a 3.00 grade point average each semester. Deadline is May 1.

• Kaw Nation Graduate Program-Assistance to Kaw tribal members who wish to complete a graduate degree program. Students must apply through FAFSA and be eligible for other types of assistance such as loans. Deadline is June 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester.

• Adult Vocational Training Program-Assistance to Kaw tribal members and Native Americans living within the Kaw Nation service area who wish to attend a long-term course of 1 - 2 years at a vocational technical school. Students must apply and be eligible for FAFSA to qualify. Download an application (requires Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader),and then print out, fill out, and return to Social Service Department, Kaw Nation, Drawer 50, Kaw City, OK 74641
  
  
• Adult Education-Assistance offered to Kaw tribal members and Native Americans living within the Kaw Nation service area who wish to take short-term certification classes at the vocational/technical school. Download an application (requires Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader),and then print out, fill out, and return to Social Service Department, Kaw Nation, Drawer 50, Kaw City, OK 74641
  
  
• Johnson O'Malley Program-Currently offers educational support and incentive awards to eligible Kaw tribal members and Native Americans living within the Kaw Nation service area and attending the Kaw City, Kildare, Peckham, Newkirk, or Blackwell schools. Families must be eligible for the free/reduced school lunch program.
